A name from a videotape
Before the band, Amoralov and Bogomazov performed in Backdraft and Zinurov in Neonovy Malchik. The trio took shape in 1996; its birthday is 8 December, the day of a big concert at the Tantsuyushchy Gorod festival in Cherepovets. Zinurov suggested the name after seeing it on the cover of a videotape of the film of the same name.
The debut album …Iz tsvetnogo plastilina came out on Pelican Records. Then came “Vsyako-raznoe”, “Brosay kurit”, “Lyubi menya, lyubi” and “Devushki byvayut raznye”. Andrey Repnikov wrote nearly all their hits from 1998 and joined the line-up in 2011.
