- How are the 80s songs selected?
- By the release year of the original, 1980 to 1989. The date of our own version is ignored: nearly everything in the catalogue was recorded recently, so the year of the original is the only honest marker of the era.
- How does a modern remix differ from the original recording?
- The melody and the lyrics are the same, the arrangement is new. Rhythm section, synths and mixing are done from scratch, usually at a dance tempo. We do not speed up the original recording or lay beats over it.
- Why are there so few tracks?
- Because the section is not padded out with neighbouring years or related genres. Only songs whose original really belongs to the eighties get in, and the list grows as the catalogue does.
