1988: Sergei Kuznetsov writes "Sedaya Noch" for Yura Shatunov in an Orenburg boarding school. In 2026 Disco Magic & valex77 release a eurodance cover. 1989: the Italian label High Energy Records releases a series of 12″ singles, HE 105 to HE 121. Behind it stand Severo Lombardoni and producer Julio Ferrarin. The label lasts until 1991 and puts out about 62 releases - exactly at the junction of Italo Disco, Hi-NRG and Eurobeat for the Japanese market.
19 August 1985: "Lady Fantasy" by Max-Him enters the German chart at #57 and stays 12 weeks, peaking at #21. On the sleeve is Florian Fadinger, manager of Sven Väth. 7 March 1949, in Pedrengo, Severo Lombardoni was born - the man whose name appears on the covers of hundreds of Italo Disco singles but who recorded almost none himself. He was a label owner and publisher. By 1997 Discomagic had grown into Italy's largest dance label, and Severo sold the catalogue to ZYX.
